I'm sure you have seen the captivating and incredible display at Coperni's show for its spring-summer 2023 line. Walking on the runway in solely underwear and heels Bella Hadid's silhouette was spray painted to become an elegant slip dress.

On September 30, during Paris fashion week, the supermodel Bella Hadid made jaws drop as she strutted on the runway topless wearing only underwear and heels. When reaching the center of the stage three technicians with paint canisters and some scissors turned her nudity into a dress. Hadid lifted her arms slowly as their work transformed their work into a classy midi off-the-shoulder dress, with a high-rise slip. After the artist finished painting, a few adjustments were made including draping the sleeves and cleaning access paint, then the model strutted across the rest of the runway.

The dress was made from fabrican, a sprayable fabric, originally created in 2003. The product is sprayed on like spray paint and then hardens into a wearable material. Coperni is known for their daring and unique ideas and this concept was no exception. "When fashion meets technology," said Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, the geniuses behind the design, which perfectly encapsulates the display. Similarly, the designers spoke on the original inspiration for the design which consisted of the” celebration of women’s silhouettes from centuries past”. This was well executed by the use of futuristic technology in combination with the 60’s inspired hairstyle and old Hollywood dress.

This certainly won't be a show to forget as it nearly broke the internet going viral on pretty much every social media platform. After Hadid shared close-up images of the dress many fellow celebrities and fashionista showed their support and amazement including Lori Harvey and Iris Law. I think it is safe to say that Coperni will go down in runway history!
