Many people in my life have experienced feelings of uncertainty or unease when it comes to more formal attire. Their problem is that they want a less girlie or feminine look but can't seem to locate anything that makes them feel confident and attractive. This post is for you if you would rather wear pants than a dress or skirt. In order to create a more androgynous look without hiding under big clothing, I spent countless hours reading through celebrity closets and researching important wardrobe components. So, here are 7 different ways to dress up without a dress.

Let’s talk basics
When it comes to bottoms I preach the holy grail trio: black, white, denim. While shopping, attempt to get different cuts and fits of each of these colors in pants or shorts. Wide-legged slacks and boyfriend jeans are an androgynous best friend so keep that in mind when searching for different fits. These pieces will serve as a basis for your closet making it much easier to build outfits on. When purchasing shirts, the basics are equally crucial. . Cutting out the denim, black and white button-ups, and tanks are essential for layering and the base of so many outfits.
Vests
After settling up the more general information, let's go on to the interesting individual pieces that, in my opinion, are ideal for a less girlie aesthetic. When worn properly, a vest is a top that perfectly balances the masculine and feminine while still emphasizing your shape. They come in a wide variety of styles and cuts, are excellent for layering, and are really versatile.

Shoes
I’m begging you guys to ditch the sneakers and replace them with some nicer boots, loafers, or oxfords. Switch out your Air forces for some fancier boots, loafers, or oxfords. Play around with various boot cuts and styles. Black, white, and brown are good places to start because at least one of these hues complements everything in your closet.

Overalls
Overalls are a fantastic item to have in your wardrobe. They are simple to find in secondhand stores for dirt cheap and make for an ensemble that is both quick and adorable. For brunch with friends, dress them up with a button-shirt underneath, or dress them down with a tank and sneakers for a casual approach.
Monochrome
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Nothing is quite as classy as a monochromatic outfit. The most effective method to stand out in fashion is to wear all one color. Even in neutral tones like brown, gray, or black, wearing an outfit from head to toe in one color gives off an air of both irreverence and put-togetherness.
Blazers
Despite the fact that they are often linked with office wear, blazers can be worn in a chic, edgy way that is the ideal balance of masculine and feminine. A lace or mesh top underneath is a blazer style I've been liking lately. This design is sensual and flattering, providing a provocative appeal without emphasizing cleavage or shape. If you wear the blazer buttoned and with nothing below, you can even go one step further.

Fabrics
Using finer textiles is a simple approach to improving an
outfit. For a nicer occasion, you can put together an ensemble using silk, cashmere, corduroy, lace, knits, or leather. Keep in mind these fabrics do not have to be expensive to look it!
Hope you guys feel as amazing as you look in your fancy fits!
